Detail of external and internal connections of BTI implants

BTI Connections

BTI has two connections: Externa and Interna.

The externa connection is a hexagon that changes dimensions depending on the implant platform to meet its biomechanical requirements.

The interna connection has a tetra or hexalobular design, depending on the platform, always without edges to provide suitable distribution of the tensions, lowering the risk of plastic deformation and facilitating the insertion of the components.

UnicCa® Surface

What is it?

It's a surface with a chemical modification with calcium ions, on triple nano-roughness.

Why is it special?

Because it's hydrophilic, so it helps to obtain a perfect relation with the first living tissue that it encounters during insertion. It minimises bacterial adhesion, decreasing the risk of contamination.

Visual comparison between cylindrical apex and conical apex

Apex

Depending on the length of the implants, we have two types of apexes:

Conventional conical apex, in lengths from 8.5 to 15 mm, with great advance capacity, avoids apical compression and increases primary stability.

Cylindrical apex, in lengths from 5.5 to 7.5 mm with a large surface to avoid damaging anatomical structures and to maintain a minimum number of full turns.
